Output is calculated using an output calculator using each participant's body weight, height, load, and time. To make things simpler and easier to calculate we subtracted 10 minutes from the overall time and used that as the relative time it took to complete the clean and jerks. EX: 14:50 - 10:00 = 4:50 and use that time to get 174.55 watts of power. No matter if you improve your running, lifting, or both, your overall wattage will improve as a result. Running does not produce a whole heck of a lot of wattage, so we eliminated that from the equation to keep the numbers where they're at.

Rules:

-Bar must move from floor to overhead, in the most efficient path possible.
-Power Clean and Push Jerk is the standard movement.
-Bar must reach full lockout with "active shoulders" at the top range of motion (ROM).
-Reps that do not reach the full ROM, will not be counted.
-Scaling the load is allowed, but only for members who have been with us for less than 2 months (or as seemed fit by a coaches decision).
-30 minute time cap.
-Only those who "bought in" during the preliminary event are eligible for the prizes.

Prizes:

-Fastest time (male as RX’d)

-Fastest time (female as RX’d)

-Most improved overall output (male scaled or RX’d)

-Most improved overall output (female scaled or RX’d)

The winner of each category will receive a $75 cash prize or $75 credit off their next monthly dues!
