Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Alright folks, I need to step up onto my soap box for a minute here:

We need to understand something, CrossFit bases it's programming around "increasing work capacity across broad time and modal domains". We want to make you OK at a lot of different skills, while being really great at nothing. Life, sports, and certain jobs are rewarded by this type of fitness. We all show up for the workouts, and over time, we learn about our strengths and weaknesses, favorites and least favorites, things that make us throw up and things that don't make us throw up, etc....We purposely stress ourselves out by performing workouts that ultimately make our lives easier, especially when dealing with situations that most of the average population would normally handle less than productively. All of us are all much more diciplined than most of those around us on the outside.

We've seen a lot of improvements in both our newer members and our veteran crew, especially today in the runs. Embrace your weaknesses and get better at them. We are all going to be constantly faced with the movements that we don't want to do (burpees, running, thrusters), and the only way we can embrace them is to do them. There are a lot of things I would rather prefer not to do, running being one of them. Not because it's particularly difficult, but because I am very familiar with the feeling I get after I'm done with a Helen or a Murph. If there is ever anything you feel is a weakness that you want to work on and get better at, let us know! We're here to help you out!

Here's the deal. The complaining and excuses stop here and now. It stops on our message board. It stops when you walk through our doors. And it stops until you leave. It's contageous, it's smelly, and no one really wants to be around it. The workouts that we post are there so you can have a head's up on what we're doing the next day, so you can mentally prepare for what is ahead. You can also decide if you want to do it or not. If not, go ahead and take the day off. Spare your teammates the agony of having to join in the pity-party that they've already gotten over prior to coming in.

There will be no workout posting on here for the next 7 days. We will post information and reference stuff to help everyone along.

Steps down off soap-box.
